Common Issues

Audio device not detected

Open System Settings → Sound and confirm your device appears under Output. Then restart Auric. If using exclusive (hog) mode, make sure no other app has claimed the device.

Sample rate not switching

Automatic sample rate matching requires exclusive mode to be enabled in Auric settings. Some USB DACs also need their own driver installed before they report supported rates to macOS.

Tracks missing from library

Auric only scans watch folders. Open Settings → Library and verify your music folders are listed. New files are detected automatically, but moving a folder requires re-adding it.

License key not activating

Make sure you are entering the key exactly as it appears in your purchase confirmation email, including dashes. Each key supports up to two machines. If you have reached the limit, email support to reset your activations.

Last.fm not scrobbling

Disconnect and reconnect your Last.fm account in Settings → Integrations. Scrobbles require the track to play for at least 30 seconds or half its duration, whichever is shorter.

System Requirements

OS macOS 26 (Tahoe)
Architecture Apple Silicon
