Common Issues

File access denied when adding a folder

The Mac App Store build runs in a sandbox and only reads files or folders you explicitly grant access to. Use the file picker or drag items from Finder onto the window; do not paste a path. The direct download build has full file access.

Metadata missing after conversion

Converter preserves title, artist, album, album artist, year, genre, track number, disc number, and composer across every output format, plus embedded artwork for AAC, ALAC, MP3, and M4A. If a field disappears, verify the source file has it set — some tag dialects store fields differently.

Cue sheet won’t split

Cue sheet splitting expects a single-image FLAC/WAV alongside a .cue file with valid FILE, TRACK, and INDEX entries. Malformed INDEX lines are skipped rather than crashing the parser. Confirm the cue file references the correct audio filename.

Bluetooth Max output is 44.1 kHz, not 48 kHz

Bluetooth Max is a preset deliberately capped at ALAC 44.1 kHz / 16-bit / stereo because that matches the practical Apple AirPlay/AirPods ceiling. If you need 48 kHz, use the standard ALAC preset and set sample rate manually.

License key not activating

Enter the key exactly as shown in your purchase confirmation, including dashes. A single Auric license unlocks both the Player and the Converter. Keys support up to two machines; if you have reached the limit, email support to reset activations.
